Having tried approximately 45 cases to verdict, Mark Sheridan has extensive trial experience with a high degree of success. He has also handled a significant number of appeals to the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Mark joined Wylam & Georgetti in January 2022 following 17 years with the Scranton office of an insurance defense firm headquartered in Philadelphia. Prior to relocating to Scranton in 2003, Mark ran his own law practice in Hillsborough, North Carolina (near Chapel Hill and Durham), and during that 10-year period, Mark handled both civil and criminal matters, including litigation, contracts, traffic, real estate, zoning, and family law. Mark has defended claims against municipalities, including injury and civil rights matters and an extensive number of wrongful death cases stemming from motor vehicle accidents and multi-contractor construction worksites. He has also defended fatality cases involving bars and taverns and has defended fire claims and significant property damage matters. He has also written coverage opinions upon request. Mark is a member of the Lackawanna and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He has been an invited speaker on a variety of general liability topics.
